When I was 23

So I mentioned to Noelle that I had my journal open and was trying to think of something to write about. She says to write about a memory from when I was her age.

I said hmmmm...When I was your age, I was drunk.

I was out of college and working a full-time job, dating, hanging out with friends - but most nights were spent out drinking. Drinking, dancing, eating every meal out, spending all of my money. I saved absolutely nothing. I thought my life was great, except for the fact that one of my best friends had been killed in a car crash, which totally broke my heart. I had cheated on my long time boyfriend, too, and he dumped me, so I was out doing - let's just say - whatever I felt like doing.

Looking back on those days, I would do so many things differently. So many things, I couldn't begin to list them all. Just imagine a list like that~! There are some things that are so humiliating that I don't think I could even write them on a paper and see them with my own eyes. Yikes.

Well, there you go. When I was 23 ~ ~ eeeek.

  1. Hey!!! I never knew about this blog! I just saw the link over at Aunt Nub's blog!
I was doing about the same things you were when I was 23! Yikes is right! Sometimes I don't know how I survived those years. I think someone had been watching over me for sure!
I signed in using my blogger account -- still haven't actually started blogging here yet though --Maybe this summer.
Have a great weekend Phin! :-)

  3. Loved this post! Made me laugh out loud.

I too found you through AUnt Nub, who I found through Albert's Artsy World, lol. Amazing how blogs connect us in ways geography may have prevented.

If you're so inclined, stop on by -- I have three blogs linked together...
